Angelo Marino. Jr

Angelo Marino, Jr. was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and came from a blue-collar working-class family. His father served in the Air Force in World War II and earned a Bronze Metal for valor. After the war, he worked seven days a week to support his family.

It is this background from which Angelo Marino Jr. comes.  As a child, he shined shoes and delivered newspapers. He was on a work scholarship in college which required him to work to receive scholarship money.  He collected firewood for his professors, babysat, tutored students, and worked in the science class to earn money.

While waiting to be drafted for the Vietnam War, he did social work in Cleveland Ohio. He was a crisis worker, which means that he handled the most difficult cases.

He was the first freshman law student to work for the law school which he did all three years he was in the law school, as well as doing other jobs to support himself. 

After he graduated from The Ohio State University Law School, he found his home in Florida so that he could be near his parents who sought retirement in Florida.

He joined a law firm that handled everything, such as contract, criminal, and personal injury cases. After three years he became a full partner, and after five years, he left the firm and opened up his own law firm, bringing with him most of the old law firm’s members. The five years working with the firm gave him a strong background in various areas of law. During this time, he tried murder cases as well as many personal injury cases and was the Public Defender for the city of Tamarac, Florida.

Since 1972, Angelo “Tony” Marino Jr. has been serving the citizens of Florida.

Graduated from The Ohio State College of Law in 1972. He placed first place in the Moot Court competition, was awarded Best Brief, and won the Nathan Burkan award.

Angelo Marino Jr. is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer who practices in both state and federal courts. For 50 years he has expertly represented clients in Lee, Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties, and throughout Florida.

Angelo Marino Jr. graduated with honors from Bethany College in West Virginia; then graduated from The Ohio State University Law School in 1972. While at Ohio State, he won the Nathan Burkan Award and placed first in Moot Court competition, and won the best brief. 

Appearing on local and national talk shows such as Voice of America, he has provided professional information and advice to the public in the areas of personal injury and consumer law. A member of the Florida, Ohio, and Federal Bars, he has argued before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Federal Claims Court.

Angelo Marino Jr. is or has been a member of many professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar  (where he often serves as a mentor to young lawyers), the Lee County, Dade County, Broward County Bar Association, the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, the American Arbitration Association, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and the Committee on Professionalism of the Florida Bar.
